Candle care
With proper care, you can enjoy your candle for longer.
Preparation
- Place the candle on a flat, heat-resistant surface. Keep it away from drafts, fans, and flammable materials.
- Remove any larger dried botanical elements beforehand.
- Trim the wick to about 0.5 cm before each use. This ensures a cleaner burn and prevents black soot.
While burning
- Always let the candle burn until the entire top layer of wax has melted. This prevents tunneling, where a hollow forms around the wick and wax remains at the edges.
- Never leave a burning candle unattended and keep it strictly out of reach of children and pets.
- Do not burn your candle for more than 4 hours at a time. This helps maintain the quality of the scent and the wax.
After burning
- Allow the wax to fully solidify and cool before relighting or moving the candle.
- Stop burning when about 0.5 cm of wax remains at the bottom. This prevents the container from overheating or getting damaged.
Extra tips for preservation
- Store your candles in a cool, dry place and avoid direct sunlight. This prevents the color from fading or the scent strength from diminishing.
